Visit us at Poynter Famers’ Market – 4th July

Come and visit our HOPE group who will be hosting the community stall at Poynter Farmers’ Market on Saturday 4th July between 9am and 12pm. We will be: Selling Succulents & Crafts prepared by Glengarry Students Facilitating a “Make Your Own Badge” Activity Sharing Information About Wildlife in our local bushland   This is primarily a fundraiser to help with the purchase of binoculars and magnifying glasses for children to use during HOPE Group activities.  See you there!

Cross-Country Training

Four laps around the oval is about one kilometre. Year Ones have been trying to run one K and some of them can do this quite fast! Year 3s should be training now and trying to improve their speed, ready for the Inter-school Cross-country event. Years 4 and 5 will be running one and a half kilometres and Year 6s do two K. Children are learning about how to safely push themselves and pay attention to the body’s signals. They must remember to bring their water bottle to PE and training sessions. Calling All Nature Artists (Years 3-6)

We are looking for children in Years 3 to 6 who are good at sketching animals. On Monday 15th (and perhaps 22nd) we will have a sign writing session, after school, in the art room. We will be making up signs to show which species are in our bush. Child artists do not need to be already in the Bush Club. In return for coming along, you will receive a ‘Nature Play’ passbook, if you don’t already have one. The Bush Club is part of Glengarry Primary School’s HOPE group – Help Our Precious Environment.
